How to get 3 Starter Pokémons in Kanto and Hoenn

Hello guys, this is Mikhail Perlas and I'm here today teach you how to get the three starter Pokmon in FireRed/LeafGreen in Kanto and Emerald in Hoenn. I've only showing you these games because the GEN II and below games are in black and white colors and its kind of boring. Now let's start. First of all, you only have two choices in getting the starters both with advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, is by trading with yourself, when you trade you should have at least 2 Pokémon and is only possible until you reached the 2nd town. The advantage is you get yourself the 3 starter Pokémon, and a boosted experience. The bad thing is, if you trade Pokémon, and you don't have any badges or anything to give your Pokémon high friendship, its either it won't obey, it would hurt itself, or it will take a nap and won't wake up.

As you can see in the picture, my Pokémon Mew (nicknamed Mew the I) won't obey to me because I don't have enough Gym Badges and Mew doesn't seem to win some battles. By the way Gym Badges are special badges got from a Gym Leader in a specific town. Once you collect 8 different badges you can enter the Pokémon League but that topic will be in my future posts. Anyway, Gym Badges have different effect once, you get them, for example: "A Boulder Badge could make Pokémon Lvl. 20 and below obey you, even those you got in trade. It will also boost the ATTACK of your Pokémon". Back to the topic. Trading yourself causes you a lot of effort to switch two GBA one another but it it worth it. The other one is cheating. Cheating, of course has only 1 to 2 effects, but its "bugs" could be a lot. Cheating in Pokémon could start in many ways: Buying in Pokémart different things for the worth  ₱0 (the ₱ there is not Peso but it is Poké. Poké is the currency in the Pokémon World), getting legendary Pokémon without effort, getting through walls, and many more.
The disadvantages of cheating could be: having a Bad EGG, Glitch, Pokemon Corrupted, Not having the proper use of some items, and Malfunctioning of the game.
In the picture above, this is some of the bad effects when using cheats, although it could be resolved when doing something right, disabling cheats, or continuing with your adventure. BAD EGGS looks like normal eggs but BAD EGGS could be used in battle and if fainted your game stops and it is unusable and if it is hatched, the game also stops so it is really bad. It just takes a space if it is in the PC and over 350+ Pokémon are in the Hoenn Region and Kanto Region (both in NATIONAL DEX). Back to the topic. I prefer cheating the game then trade it to the another game so you can enjoy the game without using any cheats.

The Kanto Region Starter Pokémons are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, and the starters in the Hoenn Region are Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip. You can only choose 1 starter per game and your rival has tha advantage in the starter for example, your starter is Torchic, a fire type-Pokémon, then your rival has the Mudkip, a water, ground type-Pokémon which has the advantage. If I were you, when you start to choose your starter and you want them all, you should choose your favorite type then, patiently save the game, go to a Pokémon Center 2nd floor (where you could trade, battle with your friends) you go to the Direct Corner (the right side) and save the game there, reset the game, click "New Game" and wait for it to let you choose the Pokémon and choose another one (the one you didn't choose) and do the same procedures.
Bulbasaur is my choice in the Kanto Starter
Torchic is my choice in the Hoenn Starter
In the first picture (Kanto) I chose Bulbasaur because I like its power and easiness to raise. In the second picture (Hoenn) I chose Torchic because I like its cuteness and if it is in its final stage it become Blaziken (a fire, fighting type-Pokémon) that is strong. After you chose that go to the Pokémon Center 2nd Floor and start trading with yourself.
As you can see, there are two trainer that are trading in order to complete their Pokédex and to complete their goal: To catch them all!!!

Now you know how to trade Pokémon, how to get the starters in Kanto and Hoenn, the effects of Cheating and Trading, and you know already what Pokémon I prefer. So please stay tune to know the latest updates. My next topic is Pokémon Types and their Hold-Items, and the Special Hold-Items.
Thank you everyone and I hpe this would solve your Pokémon Problems. Good Luck 😃
